How to Install ICS 4.0.3 on Galaxy Ace/Gio (S5830,S5660)


Samsung Ace is a mid-ranged smartphone from Samsung Galaxy Series. This phone is not in the list of Official Ice Cream Sandwich Update list. However, there's a way to upgrade it to MIUI 4.0. But, before doing anything else, read this:

You need:

  • OS 2.3 or higher (or Custom Roms)
  • Clock Work Mode Recovery 4.0.0.9 or higher
  • Download Nightly ICS (BETA4 or Above) go to Downloads Page or CLICK ME!!!
  • Back Up all the files via CWM 
  • Battery % should be higher than 50%

After this, you do:
  • Move the zip file to SD Card.
  • Reboot it, and go to Recovery Mode: Shut Down-> Hold Power Button and Home Button together for 10 seconds, and then release only the power button.
  • Wipe the data, and cache.
  • Click Install Zip from SD Card
  • Install!
  • Wait for 5-10 Minutes
